I like the colours. But not knowing anything about photomanipulations I can't say much however I think the border/forground part (the black orange) is a bit distracting to the tower which should be the main subject. It does seem to be missing something and I think the figure you mentioned would probably do the trick. from
I like the concept behind this piece, and how dark it feels. I wish I could have seen the version with the man standing in the foreground, because I think it would have added a lot of depth to the picture. Right now, it all appears very flat, like one image pasted on top of another, in that fashion. I think the reason for this is partially the color, which does tend to lend a stylization to the piece, but it's also partially the amount of detail that's makig everything pop out on the same plane. -- The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it. I think if you spent a little more time on it, it would look really good. It already loooks great though!
-- Yes, I agree with you. I feel the same way... I loved the background and I loved that tower... I think both are very overpowering visually and when you try and make them meld...it just did not work for me...because I wanted a little more background here and a little more tower there...
It drove me insane!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to give me your opinion!! -- "Wicked is what evil tastes like!" Thomas Paine Thank you... it did look really eerie with the man standing there all cloaked and evil looking...like a doorman from hell!
