O Black Tower what is your power?
What makes men run and hide
I've foreseen the evil in the
Dead of the night
As the demons they dance in my mind

Telling tales of horror
And the splendor of their torture
Burning flames reach for the sky
The gates of Hell are open wide

O Black Tower
Black Tower

O Black Tower
Why do you devour?
The souls they sleep in the night
Casting evil shadows signs of no tomorrows
Why must I fear for my life?

Telling tales of horror
And the splendor of their torture
Burning flames reach for the sky
The gates of Hell are open wide
Why must the demons dance in my mind?

O Black Tower
Black Tower

Now I know it's the truth
All the evil men do
They shall pay their dues
Nightmares tell the truth

O Black Tower
Black Tower

Why must the demons dance in my mind?

Kamelot: Black Tower~

I was bored and decided to do something dark....I am not very happy with this, but felt it would be a good opportunity to submit to the feedback club.

My psp crashed like nine times while working on this...so yeah I am not totally pleased with it, but decided to upload it anyway for the wonderful commentary.

Stocks Used:
Model is from ~antihumanstock[link]
Tower comes from sxc.hu SteveFe [link]
Background Texture is from =sheispretty's stock ~SheisprettyStock

Bird brushes are my own, and can be found in mah gallery.

Edit: I added my guy and changed the colors a little to make the overall feel of this better... I want to thank wholeheartedly the kind people from =GimmeFeedback for their invaluable input.

I hope you like it.

From :icongimmefeedback:

I like the colours. But not knowing anything about photomanipulations I can't say much however I think the border/forground part (the black orange) is a bit distracting to the tower which should be the main subject. Hope it helps ;)

would you like feedback on your art? Try either of these two great clubs:

From gimmefeedback

It does seem to be missing something and I think the figure you mentioned would probably do the trick.
from :icongimmefeedback: :D

I like the concept behind this piece, and how dark it feels. I wish I could have seen the version with the man standing in the foreground, because I think it would have added a lot of depth to the picture. Right now, it all appears very flat, like one image pasted on top of another, in that fashion. I think the reason for this is partially the color, which does tend to lend a stylization to the piece, but it's also partially the amount of detail that's makig everything pop out on the same plane.

The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it.
I think if you spent a little more time on it, it would look really good. It already loooks great though!

Yes, I agree with you. I feel the same way... I loved the background and I loved that tower... I think both are very overpowering visually and when you try and make them meld...it just did not work for me...because I wanted a little more background here and a little more tower there...

It drove me insane!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to give me your opinion!!

Thank you... it did look really eerie with the man standing there all cloaked and evil looking...like a doorman from hell!
